Tazkiya
''Success is surely achieved by him who purifies himself"(Surah Al-A'ala:14)
The Lata'ef : are psychhospiritual ''organs'', or, sometimes, faculties of sensory supersensory perception in sufi psychology. These subtleties are thought to be parts of the self in a similar manner to the way glands and organs are part of the body. Drawing from the Qur'an, many sufis distinguish Qalb, Sirr, Rooh, Khafi, Akhfa, Nafs and Qalbiyah as the seven Lata'if.
Qalb (heart): this Latifa is located in the left of chest. It is the place where the spiritual illnesses hinder and the aim is to purify it of all the spiritual ailments.
Rooh: this Latifa is located in the right side of the chest. After doing constant Dhikr/Muraqaba on this Latifa it becomes purified of its spiritual ailment Anger, and becomes awakened and illuminated.
Sirr: this latifa is located left side towards the center. After constant Dhikr/Muraqaba the spiritual ailment in this Latifa, Greediness is erased.
Khafee: this latifa is located right side towards the center of the chest. After constant Dhikr/Muraqaba the spiritual ailment Miserliness is erased.
Akhfa: this latifa is located in the center of the chest. After constant Dhikr/Muraqaba the spiritual ailment Jealousy is erased.
Qalbiya: this latifa is located above the head at the center and it is also known as 'Sultanul Adhkaar' (the king of all froms of remembrances). After constant Dhikr/Muraqaba the spiritual ailment Pride is erased.
Nafs: this latifa is located below the navel. After constant Dhikr/Muraqaba the spiritual ailment Desire is erased.
